2023 Curtain Call

Alas, we are at the end of 2023!!! Last year I started doing a summary of the year as I found it gave me insight into what had happened in my life in the last 12 months and also to remind me to be grateful for all the people and the opportunities that have come my way.

Overall, this year has left me very drained, unlike 2022 that felt more like a breath of fresh air after being confined to our apartments unknowing when we will resume life as it was.

Nonetheless, I have managed to make some important changes in my life, the biggest one being my job. Unexpectedly, in January, an opportunity came up and I seized it as I desperately needed it. Although I was hoping for a much bigger change, so far it has proved beneficial for me.

I also “walked down the aisle” as I went to Cuba and infused myself with sunshine, vitamin D and ocean paradise. You know it’s a good year when you go to the beach.

I have continued my appointment as Honorary Reporter for the Korean Cultural Center and I am truly grateful for all the new people I have met throughout the numerous activities organized by them.

I have spent the majority of this year pining for things that I may not have or people who may not be what I want or hope them to be. By doing so, I have somewhat stifled my creative process. In 2024 I will focus a lot more on my creativity and my writing endeavors. I am continuously inspired by so many artists who don’t give up despite setbacks or mental blocks, and it is completely worth it in the end.

2024 will be the Year of the Wood Dragon. As someone who follows Chinese astrology closely, I know the year will bring about major changes. Each Dragon year something significant has happened in my life that changed its course so I expect the same for 2024.

I hope 2024 brings everyone, including me, a new beginning (fingers crossed for love), exciting new changes and lots of prosperity and health. As we age, health becomes the number one priority in life and we must take care of ourselves and those close to us.

Goodbye 2023! Hello 2024!

Enter the Dragon :)

Merry Christmas!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Wishing for an heirloom" (poem TBD)
